Our purpose is to maximise the productivity and efficiency of our customers and ever since the inception of GreaseBoss, we’ve worked collaboratively with industry, first to truly understand their lubrication issues, then to use the latest technology to solve these problems. As a technology company, we are fast and responsive to customer feedback, enabling us to develop the best solutions for our customers, to keep their equipment producing.

We take a long-term approach and develop trusted relationships with our customers, to partner with them as their lubrication solutions provider. We’ve developed our systems with tier 1 companies in mind and have always held cybersecurity as a priority, developing our systems in line with industry best practice to deliver secure and scalable solutions to world’s largest industrial producers.

Starting with our fixed plant manual greasing solution, we have listened to our customers’ needs and collaboratively grown our portfolio to include automatic lubrication monitoring solutions for both fixed plant and heavy mobile equipment, focussed on critical assets that drive our customers’ production.

An iconic startup
From the garage to the global stage

The story of GreaseBoss is one of the classic startup journeys.

The inception of GreaseBoss began by a group of strangers at a startup weekend, curious about how technology could be used to solve this very niche problem of verifying that manual lubrication tasks had been completed. That weekend, we received immediate interest from numerous mines, and we won that weekend’s pitch contest.

2 months later, we formed our company to accept our first purchase order and to start developing the first 3 prototype units. Less than 12 months later and still operating out of Tim’s garage on the Sunshine Coast, we had been accepted into Y Combinator, the world’s most prestigous startup accelerator based in Silicon Valley. This early international exposure launched GreaseBoss at a rapid pace.

Fast forward, 5 years into the business, GreaseBoss has evolved into a leading industrial IoT company in Australia, raised multiple funding rounds with leading VCs in both Australia and USA and exports its world leading products to over 15 countries.
